Requesting Changes to Your Aid

Report Additional Funding

Your financial aid may need to be revised if you are awarded additional funding or your eligibility status changes. It is your responsibility to inform Student Financial Services of any changes by submitting the Outside Scholarship Self-Reporting Form from the forms directory for the appropriate academic year. 

 

Increase or Decrease Federal Aid (Loans and/or Work Study)

To adjust your aid after your aid has been awarded, complete the Graduate Student Financial Aid Change Form from the forms directory for the appropriate academic year.

 

Cost of Attendance (COA) Increases

The following circumstances may allow you to request an increase to your COA which may result in a change to your federal financial aid eligibility:

  • One-Time Computer Expense – To request an adjustment to your cost of attendance due to the purchase of a computer (maximum is $3,000) please complete the One-Time Computer Expense Request Form from the forms directory for the appropriate academic year.
  • Excessive Medical/Dental Expenses and/or Child Care – your cost of attendance may be increased if you have experienced and can demonstrate excessive medical or dental expenses.  Contact Student Financial Services to request an appeal form.
  • Travel/Conference Fees – your cost of attendance may be increased if to account for specific travel and/or conference fees.  Contact Student Financial Services to request an appeal form.
